Lick’s offers a “turnkey operation” from planning and design through to marketing and promotion. Lick’s will assist you with site selection and lease negotiations and will provide all the necessary planning, designing and construction of your store.
Lick’s provides an extensive mandatory training program, complete with comprehensive manuals for all potential franchisees. Before the franchise opens, you will be provided advice and assistance in the hiring and training of required staff. A trained Lick’s representative will spend a minimum of four weeks with you at your store, to assist in the set up and opening of operations. Following this, Lick’s will provide any and all necessary supervision, consultation and assistance as determined by the Lick’s Inspection and Support Program.
One must have the financial capability to open and operate a Lick’s Franchise. The cost to develop and set up a Lick’s Ice Cream and Burger Shop including the initial $45,000 franchise fee, is approximately $495,000 to $535,000 (plus working capital of $35,000) depending on the unit’s size, location, layout etc. A net worth of $350,000 to $450,0000 (not including person effects and automobiles) is required of which $250,000 to $300,000 must be in cash or liquid assets. Opportunities to purchase existing locations may come up from time to time.
